I met "Neugass" in about 2007 he was broke down on the side of the road and I stopped to help. Turns out we worked for the same federal agency and we became instant friends. After helping him he showed up the following day with a cheesecake, my favorite. He visited and called and we occasionally met for lunch or dinner. He loved to give me advice. Most recently I had not heard from him. I reached out and he told me he had suffered a heart attack. I told him to take care of himself and I hoped to see him soon. I reached out again and he didn't seem like himself, I was worried and I told a mutual friend something is up. After finding his 2 numbers disconnected I became more concerned. He was a special guy he taught me a lot. He lead me to further my education and always encouraged me. I know we met for a reason and he remained my friend until his passing. He will always have a special place in my heart. Finding this out today has touched me to my core. He will be missed.
