Obituary of Hannelore Sadezky Ninomiya

On January 7, 2019. Devoted mother of Lisa, Roland, and Erik, all of whom survive her; as do Jutta Sadezky, her sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by Calvin, her beloved husband of 55 years; her sister, Marut (Purdy); and her brother, Karl. Hannelore was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1932, but grew up in Bremen, Germany. In the early 1950s, she moved to the United States: first to Boston and later to Chicago. After her marriage to Calvin in 1958, the two moved to the Washington, D.C., area. She had a master's degree in geography from Michigan State University, and, in 1991, earned her master's in library science from the University of Maryland. During a career that spanned more than 40 years, she worked for the Fairfax County library system, the National Institutes of Health, the American Psychological Association, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University. Memorial service followed by reception at 11 a.m. January 26 at Westmoreland Congregational Church, 1 Westmoreland Circle, Bethesda, MD 20816. The family suggests that memorial contributions, if desired, be made to WETA (www.weta.org) or a charity of your choice.
