Obituary of Linda Kathryn Evans

LINDA LANE EVANS, age 66 Linda Lane Evans, of Vienna, VA, died from pancreatic cancer on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at her home. Loving wife of CAPT Kirk E. Evans, USN (ret); mother of LTC Brian (Julie) Evans, USAF and Kirsten Kathryn Evans; daughter of William L. Lane of Dayton, OH; sister of Lisa Lane (Robert) Rice; sister of Michael (Beth) Lane; and cherished grandmother of Laura Nicole and Katie Marie Evans. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Conley Lane and step-mother, Milly Shanks Lane. Linda was a beloved primary grade teacher the Arlington Diocese schools for 22 years, and in retirement taught religious education at St. Thomas a 'Becket in Reston, VA. Relatives and friends are invited to a celebrate her life at Adams-Green Funeral Home , 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA Wednesday, November 3 from at 5 to 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas a 'Becket, Catholic Church, 1421 Whiele Avenue, Reston on Thursday, November 4 at 11 am. Internment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. Please assemble at the administration building by 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Diocese of Arlington Education Fund, 200 N.
