I will miss Uwe greatly. I had the pleasure and privilege in getting to know him better over the last three or so years of us working here at the County. We had frequent informal chats and spent many a day in the field visiting pumping stations. I wish I had one more opportunity to pick his brain and gain just a tad more of his knowledge (and, of course, go to lunch!). I admired his strength in the face of such a daunting illness. I am glad he is no longer suffering. Uwe will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

Uwe was a wonderful person and a devoted, knowledgeable employee at Fairfax County. His dedication and work ethic were unparalleled. He was always welcoming and kind and willing to share his vast knowledge. His co-workers will miss him greatly.
