Obituary of Uwe Freund

Uwe Freund, age 52, of Herndon, VA died on July 10, 2010 at Reston Hospital Center. He was born on April 7, 1958 in Bleidenstadt, Germany to the late Heinz and Greti Freund. Uwe retired after 28 years of service with Fairfax County, Dept. of Public Works and Environmental Services as a supervisor. Uwe was a Veteran of the German Air Force, stationed at Dulles through NATO and was a volunteer fireman with FFV, Bleidenstadt, Germany. Uwe was also a 4 th degree black belt instructor with Bert Smith's Tae Kwon Do, Sterling, VA. Uwe was the beloved husband of 31 years of Pamela Freund, loving and devoted father of Alexandra Freund, Katharina Freund and Michael Freund, all of Herndon, VA, brother of Karin Freund, Ellen Petri and Claudia Weiser, all of Taunusstein-Bleidenstadt, Germany. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 16 th at 2pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA.
