I am so very sorry for your loss. I know Robert as "Uncle Hoppy" since he was one of my father, Dennis Kievit's, best friends. He was the Best Man at my parent's wedding and also attended my wedding here in VA. My condolences to all of his children who I have fond memories of in my childhood. God bless you all.

Hoppy was a treasure for the insurance industry. His humor and good hearted nature were fun to be around. His contribution to our industry and to the clients he served are a model for us all to follow. I will miss him, Kevin

My sister, Rose Ann Walton, used to work for "Hoppy". I'm just the baby sister that would come to the D.C. area once a year to visit so I didn't know Hoppy very well. I just know that he was a very hard-working and caring man. He was a very funny man too; loved to hear and tell jokes and LAUGH. According to my sister, he was a great boss too! He will surely be missed by many, many people.

My sincere condolences go out to the Hopkins family. In 1961-1962 I was the only enlisted man and the only African American to play basketball on the Quantico Marine basketball team and Hoppy was one of the first members of the team to embrace me as a friend and I will have never forgotten that.Several years ago we became reaquainted and would periodically communicate through email.Hoppy, may God bless you and may you rest in peace. Much Respect! Rollie

Kathy, Although we never met we wanted to send you a message. Hoppy was one of those people you never forget. He was kind and thoughtful and he never failed to make us laugh. We were very fortunate to have known him. I am Susan Nelson's sister and Mark was working for Gary when the first beach house was built. I am so glad Mark and Hoppy remained such good friends. Our thoughts are with you and the family at this time of great loss.

Dear Kathy, I am so sorry for your loss. Although we did not see a lot of each other, I know I speak for my whole family when I say Hoppy will be truly missed! He was a man with a great sense of humor and a welcoming personality. I will miss his stories he tells of when you spend time with Karen, Kevin and Brayden! Sicerely, Trish
