ROBERT ATTREE HOPKINS
Died peacefully on February 3, 2012 at his home in Reston, Virginia. "Hoppy," as he was known to everyone, was born in Paterson, New Jersey on July 18, 1937.
His early years were spent in the northern New Jersey area. After high school, Hoppy attended Florida Southern College, graduating with a BS degree in Business and was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. After college he served in the Marine Corps as an officer stationed at Quantico, Virginia from 1961-1964, where he was a proud member of the Marine Corp Basketball team. He then went to work as an agent for John Hancock, and remained with the insurance industry for the rest of his career.
Hoppy is survived by his sister Joan Jasinkiewicz, his first wife Margaret Weed and their three children, R. Scot Hopkins, Bret R. Hopkins and Brooke E. Gilliam and seven grandchildren.

In living his life to the fullest Hoppy touched so many- family, friends, and clients, who he considered "one in the same". He will be lovingly remembered and be missed by all.
