I have known Dr. Shuang Jin for many years, but for the recent two years I have had a privilege to work with him closely on some projects, and to know him a lot more. Being quiet and devoted to his work, he struck me as very enthusiastic and passionate, full of energy and ideas in his conversation. Above all that is his love and affection for his family, so true and deep. It will never be the same again in the laboratory and the office. Early in the morning he would make fresh coffee in the office, the beautiful fragrance lingering in the office. The conversation filled with inspiration, profound knowledge, and eagerness to convey the message. Never more, never more… When I turned around facing the empty cubicle, the jacket was still hanging in the corner, but the empty chair – ever so familiar – inundated me with sorrow so deep.
