Papa Mal was always strong-willed and had an amazing sense of humor. We will never forget his wisdon and the life lessons that he taught all of us. We will find comfort knowing that he is at peace and will always be looking out for us. We miss and love him deeply. We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers. Love, Ashley Hill

Mal was a long time member of our crew at the Udvar-Hazy Center of the National air and Space Mueseum. He brought humor and wisdom every Monday afternoon. It just seems like the other day that we were chatting and enjoying each other. We were so encouraged by his fast recovery from his bad fall that we were sure we were going to be able to enjoy him for many more years. But it was not in the Lord's plan, so we will now have to remember him for all the joy he brought into our lives. God Bless you Mal.

Monday's will never be the same, ever. If you need anything Linda, just call and I'll do whatever I can. Blessings to all your family. Mal is now home and at peace.

The name Mal Kavulak is one I have run across every week as the volunteer who enters the time sheets of other VSS volunteers at the Udvar-Hazy air and space museum. Although I had no physical contact with Mal, I respected him as a steadfast regular among the volunteers, and I wish him the aviator’s farewell: “Safe trip west, Mal.” Art Sanfelici

My heartfelt sadness at the lose of Mal. He was so fun to be around and always had a story to share. He loved life and most of all his-Linda. The last conversation we had he was going to build a jump for her and River for Christmas. I bet he got it finished. God's peace. He is safe in Jesus arms now. Love and Misses. Beth

I love talking about the special "husband/wife" team of volunteers that work at Hazy. Mal and Linda were no exception. Not only did they brighten up the visitors day, you could always see them light up a bit more when they were in each others presence. It is a testament to who Mal was and to Linda too... I am so sorry for the loss and I know that Mal's contribution will still be felt even though he isn't physically with us. I feel honored that I got to interact with him.
