LAJEAN CAROL KOENTOPF , age 62 of Sterling, VA died on Sunday, January 1, 2012 after a long battle with cancer. She leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Larry G. Koentopf and her daughters, Leah Koentopf and her husband, Jeffrey Twiford, and Layna Koentopf and her friend, Mike Wyatt and her mother Anita Thiesfeld and family friend Barb Flom. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin O. Thiesfeld and brother, Wayne M. Thiesfeld. Family will receive friends Friday, January 6, 2012 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 1090 Sterling Road, Herndon, VA. Additionally, the family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 10, 2011 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:00 PM at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 925 13 th Street East, Glencoe. MN 55336. Interment will follow at Glencoe City Cemetery, Glencoe. MN.
